Total Reward Policy & Design – Senior Specialist Role – London / Hybrid – Job Ref: HS0120 Up to £120,000 + Benefits
- Help define our FTSE 100 client’s total reward philosophy and annual pay review strategy.
- Lead the design of incentive frameworks that support strategic business priorities, and work with strategic reward colleagues to tailor them as appropriate to different business units and worker types.
- Support colleagues across the CoE, as well as broader HR, in driving colleague engagement and understanding of total reward policies.
- Ownership of the Remuneration Committee annual cycle including agenda planning, drafting of materials, and ownership of stakeholder relationships.
Skills Required:
Stakeholder management (expert): the ability to work confidently with stakeholders across the business to deliver our strategic reward agenda and ensure their voice is heard within the Reward CoE and across our reward strategy.
Business acumen (advanced): Knowledgeable in business strategy and the drivers of organisational performance, including people drivers of performance and financial literacy (e.g. business KPIs, business cases).
Analytical and problem-solving skills (expert): demonstrates strong analytical ability to analyze data, can identify root causes of issues, develop effective solutions and make data-driven decisions to optimise the Reward CoE’s effectiveness by addressing challenges.
Change and project delivery (expert): highly proficient in change management techniques to facilitate smooth transition of total reward change to attract, reward, and retain colleagues throughout the Group.
Storytelling with data/business insights (expert): strong skills in building the case for total reward change, drawing on data and analytical insights, and communicating through customer centric design.
Innovation and excellence (expert): Constantly builds knowledge base through internal and external learning exposure, bringing thought leadership to influence business total reward solutions. Demonstrates ability to grow capability of others through knowledge sharing and coaching.
Mandatory experience:
Respected total reward expert: At least 7 years’ experience of leading effective change across all elements of total reward (including recognition) and performance within disruptive business environments.
Deep technical total reward policy knowledge: expertise developed through delivery of reward policy across base pay, annual bonus, long-term incentives, benefits, recognition, and annual and family leave. A good understanding of HR systems and experience delivering policy change into a large organization.
Incentive design: in-depth understanding of, and experience designing, creative and flexible short- and long-term incentive plans, as well as sales incentive plans.
Experience of establishing strong collaborative relationships across HR and the business, as well as ensuring that total reward approaches align with the organisation’s strategic goals and governance structure.
Desirable experience:
Management of Remuneration Committee activity, preferably in a UK-listed environment, including agenda planning, production of RemCo materials, and a good understanding of the UK governance landscape.
Understanding and experience of executive reward (across the wider senior management population), including benchmarking, long-term incentive plans, and share plan valuation.
