LOCATION FLEXIBLE – LONDON – BIRMINGHAM – MANCHESTER – BRISTOL – CARDIFF -DEVON – CORNWALL
Our client, an International Accounting and Business Advisory firm with offices across the UK are currently seeking an experienced Share Schemes Manager / Tax Manager, with responsibility for owning and managing a client portfolio as well as overseeing their teams’ portfolios, deliver revenue and profitability targets and building/maintaining good client relationships.
The Tax Manager role will encompass:
- Design and implementation of EMI and Company Share ownership Plans including, designing share classes and terms for EMI/CSOP option agreements. Undertaking company and employee criteria checklists for both plans
- Design and implementation of unapproved incentive plans such as hurdle shares and joint share ownership plans
- Annual compliance/notification for EMI, CSOP and unapproved plans
- Understanding tax implications of directors/shareholders loans and benefits
- Awareness of SEIS/EIS and experience of drafting clearance
- Understanding of Employee Ownership Trust
- Tax due diligence experience on share related matters
- Understanding of management buy-outs
- Calculating share capital numbers and proceed returns
- Awareness of other all employee plans such as SAYE and SIP
Ideal candidate will be:
- CTA/ACA/ACCA/CA (or equivalent) qualified
- As clients come from all industries, exposure to multiple sectors would be advantageous
- Previous Corporate Tax or Mixed Tax experience in a similar role within a practice environment
- Strong technical knowledge and the ability to carry out research into complex areas of tax legislation
As well as competitive pay and great benefits, this role offers flexible working and can be based practically anywhere in the UK. On occasion, however, you would be required to travel to the Cardiff office where senior members of the team are based.
