SENIOR SHARE SCHEME LAWYER – MANCHESTER OR LEEDS – £120k + PATH TO PARTNERSHIP / EQUITY ON OFFER – JOB REF: HS0142

Our client, a leading professional (non-legal) services firm, seeks a Legal Director, with 6 years pqe+ legal experience, to work in any one of their London, Manchester or Leeds offices. The role will sit within the wider Employer Solutions Tax Team which sits across other service lines including Direct Tax, Corporate Finance, Valuations and People Advisory.

Owing to succession planning requirements, our client is looking for an ambitious lawyer currently at a UK Law or Accounting firm, and who has the potential to step into Partnership (if they so wish) and who can help with the further expansion of this leading UK practice.

The environment is very relaxed with flexible working on offer (initially 2 days in the office but over time this will be further negotiable). This role, which would be a refreshing alternative to a law firm, would equally suit a Senior Lawyer who has already transitioned to an accounting firm, but is now looking to step up into Partnership. Key attributes will include strong business / client development, management and mentoring skills.

Technical requirements:
• Ability to draft & implement employee incentive arrangements
• Lead & manage client engagements, acting as a key point of contact for clients and colleagues
• Work with a wide range of private and listed businesses providing domestic and international technical reward advice in a commercial and practical context
• Manage complex equity reward projects, including the design and implementation of share plans
• Provide specialist tax support on transactions
• Support in the development of junior members of the team
