NEWLY QUALIFIED ACCOUNTANT– INSOLVENCY & RESTRUCTURING – LONDON – £55k +

We are currently working with some of the leading financial advisory firms, all of whom are looking to boost their Restructuring teams with talented individuals.  They would be interested in newly qualified accountants interested in moving into the Restructuring and Insolvency sector.  No previous insolvency experience is required, but you must be willing to travel to clients (on occasion this may be International), be keen to develop your existing skillset and looking to work within a fast-paced environment.  Working for these firms is never boring and a career in restructuring can lead to so many opportunities down the line.  This really is a fantastic career opportunity.

As these firms have experts covering all sectors, advising companies of all sizes, work will be interesting and varied but key responsibilities include:

  • Providing support on restructuring and insolvency assignments, working alongside case managers
  • Supporting with the production of reports on advisory and restructuring projects and all aspects of insolvency assignments, including liaising with creditors and key stakeholders
  • Participating in marketing and business development, including targeting and researching new client opportunities and assisting with the development of client proposals

 

Key skills and competencies required:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified Accountant OR some previous experience in restructuring
  • Ideally educated to degree level
  • Insolvency experience beneficial, but not essential
  • Strong commercial and business acumen
  • Ability to work innovatively and ‘self start’
  • Corporate advisory experience (either advising to businesses or through other work undertaken in / with corporates).
  • Desire to build career within Restructuring and develop skillset
  • Ability to communicate well across a range of operational and financial staff at all levels
  • Willingness to embrace work across all sectors and potentially undertake some travel

 

Dependent on experience, you will have the opportunity to rapidly progress to a project management role, taking ownership of the key aspects of cases or managing discreet aspects of larger assignments.  Full support provided and encouragement to build your restructuring career.
