Our client, a global Consulting firm, is looking to hire a Director for their Reward Practice, based in London, to direct and lead a team of consultants partnering with organisations to review, develop and articulate total rewards strategies.   (Ambitious candidates below this level, with strong credentials, are also being taken into consideration).

 

As Rewards Director, one of the primary responsibilities will be leading and delivering large client engagements and serving as a strategic advisor to blue chip clients in various sectors.   You will also help with overall development of the Rewards practice and act as mentor and coach to fellow colleagues.

 

As part of this renowned Reward practice, specific client engagements could include the following:

 

  • Designing and implementing compensation-related and broader HR solutions
  • Job levelling and architecture, helping companies define and grade the jobs they need and communicate career paths and development opportunities to employees help companies define and grade the jobs they need and communicate career paths and development opportunities to employees
  • Sales effectiveness and rewards – helping organisations understand how to drive the achievement of sales goals through aligning strategy to incentives and good governance.
  • M&A and other transactions, from assessing the pros and cons of a potential target organisation to ensuring companies come together and integrate effectively to make the best of M&A opportunities.
  • Getting pay right – assisting companies interpret and navigate pay fairness and greater pay transparency, designing a new base pay structure or short-term incentive plan

 

As Director, you will be responsible for managing projects with clients in all these areas, and across a variety of industries.

 

Requirements for the role:

 

  • Significant knowledge and understanding of Reward programmes and processes.
  • Proven compensation consulting success in areas including incentive compensation, annual incentive design, base salary structures, job evaluation and levelling and analysis of complex pay issues, ideally from a senior role held in consulting or highly consultative corporate environment.
  • Proven experience of successfully managing multiple, multi-faceted projects and producing quality deliverables and keeping within company budgets
  • Strong client relationship management skills
  • Leadership experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and be concise, clear and confident to be able to deliver detailed findings, analyses and recommendations to senior leaders of client organisations
  • Good analytical skills, both in terms of logic of reasoning and analysis of numerical and financial data
  • Excellent academics, educated to degree level
