Our client, a leading Financial Advisory firm with offices throughout the UK and worldwide is offering a fantastic opportunity to move into the world of Restructuring and Insolvency at Assistant Manager level. With no previous insolvency or restructuring experience required, they are simply looking for bright, dynamic candidates with an interest in restructuring, to join their team based in the North, situated in Leeds, Manchester or Newcastle with hybrid working available.
You would be joining a team offering a variety of stakeholder / lender side advisory work, including support with financial restructurings, company side advisory and formal insolvency. Clients and stakeholders can include corporates (from mid-market to blue-chip), lawyers, hedge funds, lenders, PE houses, and public sector organisations. With extensive sector coverage, they have expert advisors that can help whatever the market is. Working as an Assistant Manager within this team, you would be expected to work across the various sectors and some travel may be required, including International.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Providing support on restructuring and insolvency assignments, working alongside case managers
- Supporting with the production of reports on advisory and restructuring projects and all aspects of insolvency assignments, which includes liaising with creditors and key stakeholders and sale of business
- Participating in marketing and business development, including targeting and researching new client opportunities and the development of client proposals
Key skills and competencies required:
- ACA or ACCA qualified Accountant OR some previous experience in restructuring
- Insolvency experience beneficial, but not essential
- Strong commercial and business acumen
- Ability to work innovatively and ‘self start’
- Corporate advisory experience (either advising to businesses or through other work undertaken in / with corporates).
- Desire to build career within Restructuring and develop skillset
- Ability to communicate well across a range of operational and financial staff at all levels
- Willingness to embrace work across all sectors and potentially undertake some travel
